I think those wheels are from a different car. Anyway on the E500, the things to watch out for would be the SBC brakes and the airmatic suspension. On the E320, you still have SBC brakes, but no airmatic. On the E350 for 2006, you've got the balance shaft issue and still have SBC brakes. On 2007+, no more SBC and after about the middle of 9/2006, no more balance shaft problems.

SBC is basically a brake by wire. Some say it's very good, others say it's harder to control, either full on or off, it may take some getting used to it. Anyway, the system is known for a pump failure and other issues, MB had a 10 year warranty on the pump but not other parts of the system. Repairs can cost around $2k at the dealer, but buying reman parts online and going to an indy may cut that down to around 1k for repairs. Airmatic has similar repair prices, about 1k per corner to replace with factory airmatic, but Arnott's are about 1/2 that and have a lifetime warranty.

there are some e320 sports with airmatic as well so watch out for that. stay away from the 2003-2004 if you can. you best bet is 2008-2009 if you can.

2009 E550 2000 Honda civic mash n' go
08-09. I'm biased because i have a 09. However I'm employed at A MB dealership, and I can hands down say the 08-09 MY w211's are in the shop the least. Mostly for services/tires/brakes ect. No real BIG Issues. It's just like any manufacture though, if you buy the last year built of a specific model it will most likely have the least amount of issues... Just my two cents.

2006 E500 4matic wagon
FWIW I have a 2006 E500 4matic estate with ~155K miles and it's going strong. Only issue is 1 button on the home-link is inoperative. SOLID reliable car that gets used daily through all 4 Michigan seasons.
