Question W211 E500 AC vent problem

2006 W211 E500 problem. AC works fine, but on passenger side it is weak. I noticed the vent control works on the driver's side, but doesn't seem to work on the passenger side. Front defog is always on along with upper passenger vent.

Anyone have a similar problem or know what the issue likely is? I think maybe an AC/heating control valve, but haven't been able to find the same problem in the forum yet.

Thanks!

Yes you have an issue with the applicable flap motor.

The only way to correctly diagnose a problem such as yours is via DAS(Star). The alternative will be my quess and all that follow!!

Did you ever fix this problem? I'm having the same exact issue and was wondering which flap you ended up changing.

Yeah, Plutoe was correct - A 2038201642

You can find used for 10 bucks or so used and 60 - 120 or so new. I paid 150 for a used part because I used a bad shop - they also screwed up lots of stuff for me free of charge, but that's another story.

Dash removal required.

I think the DAS also identified the motor as faulty, if I recall. Wasn't that long ago so not sure why it's hard to recall more accurately, but seems there was a line that spelled it out pretty directly.
