Ignition Coil Codes P0351, P0354
I just wanted to check to make sure I am interpreting these codes right, I looked up the codes list and also the engine diagram as far as cylinder labeling is concerned, but I'm having what looks like one or two more coils going out on my M273 V8, and I'm getting P0351, P0354 and P0328.
P0351 is ignition coil "A" primary/secondary circuit
P0354 is ignition coil "D" primary/secondary circuit
P0328 is expected as it is Knock Sensor 1 Circuit Bank 1 or Single Sensor
(BACK)
D---H
C---G
B---F
A---E
(FRONT)
So, standing at the front of the car I would see the above cylinder lettering/numbering, so P0351 would be cylinder A (or cylinder 1) and P0354 would be for cylinder D (cylinder 4), with the left side of the car being bank 1?
I tried searching for this and found some stuff on BenzWorld that seems to confirm this, and the same looks to hold true for the M272 V6 with the obvious variance, but I would like someone to verify my findings. Thanks.

Nah, I've had this issue 2 times before. The previous owner put in some cheap coils that failed and I've been too cheap/lazy to replace all of them at once, so one of them will go at a time and lead to a slight engine knock that the sensor compensates for. Wait for it to throw the code and replace that coil. Haven't had any problems in 10k miles, but the issue resolves itself when the faulty coil is replaced.

A is Cylinder 1 - look up your cylinder diagram and it will clear it up. My Father has a Lincoln and the PCM has a known issue of failing. It causes multiple coils to burn out. No recall. Cost him $3K to fix at Ford. He actually got these same codes. Either way, I looked up the cylinder diagram to fix his coils.
Standing in front of the car, looking at the front of the motor - left is 1 (being closest) to 4. Right side (drivers, starting from front) 5-8.

Thanks Boardboy. Replaced the necessary coils and no more knock retard. Cleared the codes and drove the car quite a bit, checked again and everything is perfect! Easy job to do also. Got my air filters done while I was at it.
