Re-Paint advice

I have a 2003 E320 that is Everest Green Metalic. I would like to get it repainted. It has some road chips on the front end, and a couple of little scratches that are down to primer. I live in the Dallas, TX. area. Anyone have any recommendations on who can do this and not leave it looking like a big green orange? I am not looking for a super expensive "buffed with baby gerbils" finish, but I want it to look good.

I would start by-------Calling your local dealer, who does not have a body shop, and ask who does their work!!

Not sure if this translates to where you are, but I would find a solid dealership around where you are, but in an area with a significantly lower cost of living. Their rates are usually cheaper. For example...I live outside DC - we have lots of great (expensive) dealers here. Actually, we have a shop in two areas, owned by the same company. The shop in Bethesda (high rent area) ALWAYS has parts that cost more. 7 miles from their other shop, not sure how parts prices jump 25%. Anyway, to went north about 90 miles and bought my car way under book. Great dealership and outpriced most paint shops locally when I needed work done. Plus, they gave a loaner and dropped the car off at my office. Might not be what you were looking for, but has been working out for us.
