Headlights for 2006 E320 CDI

Lately I find my lights to be a little dimmer. It could be that I am getting more used to brighter lamps on my sienna Van

The question is, do you have any recommendations about using non-halogen lamps or something that will cause these to be more bright?

The replacement bulbs are halogen and are OEM part

N 400809 000007

what are the pros and cons of substituting these with something else. A DIY on this would be fantastic.

Thank you!

How are the lense? Are they cloudy or clear? Halogens like all bulbs do get dimmer with age so any new bulbs will be brighter. I used to like Ultrastars in my other car, but people say that they tend to burn out soon as it doesn't have a very long life rating, the brighter they are, the shorter they seem to last.

The lenses are perfect. It is only the bulbs that have perhaps gone dimmer. I'll change the low beam bulbs out and see.

When I bought my car, the bulbs were almost non existent. Not blown, but clearly not bright enough. I would try new bulbs. I swapped to HIDs myself...but there will be plenty of people to tell you how the world will end if you do. Whatever you do, make sure you have the headlights aligned, properly.

Well the world won't end, but because HID in non DOT approved housing isn't street legal and can blind other drivers with glare, you may just be ending someone else's world. In some areas, police do issue tickets for lights that aren't OEM.
