Beside the head display OEM part number, are there other parts I would need to replace my existing Non-Navigation unit with the OEM NAV Display unit? I did a search on this forum but didn't see any postings for the W211 E Class vehicles (2003 - 2009). The cheapest price for this OEM unit new is $800.

Wow - That's a super site for installing the NAV system. I'll have to check to see if my vehicle already has the Harmon Kardon audio system.......I think it does come with my 2003 E50 which helps reduce the components needed for the install.

burgca - Have been doing some research on after market NAV units such as Rupse from China. Seems like upgrading my vehicle to one of these type units may be more cost effective than installing the MB OEM units.......cheaper and get more features. Any suggestions about these two approaches and if you agree an after market unit would be overall better, any suggestions?

If you PM your vin I will get you your datacard. Retrofitting in the nav won't be easy as the navigation has the cd in the trunk and I believe that some of the cables needed are not run. If you need star coding let me know.
