04 E500 WHERE TO GET POWER FOR HID KIT?

Getting ready to install an HID kit and I need 12v power to the ballast, is there a particular source under the hood, can i power the kit off of the SBS brake system/auxiliary battery or is there a better "prefered" location to pick up power?

Usually you just use the existing headlight connector.

I know, this kit is a bit more sophisticated it includes a fused relay harness to power the ballast.

Return it and buy a DDM kit with relay to not throw error code. Plugs right in. Dont make life harder.

The kit I have does have a relay, after much research I went with a digital HID kit from retro solutions, the kit is very high quality, great customer reviews and excellent customer support.

Here's a question to ask them, do you need to change out the projectors and are they DOT approved for street use? Most HID kits are not legal for street use. Probably why I see lots of people with HID lights that are blindingly bright. The police in some area give out tickets for non approved lights.

Draw a wire from pres-fuse box (passenger footwell) where all other power feeds are also coming to engine bay.
