Battery Died, Jump Started the Car, Now Radio Wont Work
As title states, the battery on my 2009 E300 died. I used jumper cables to boost the car back to life. Since then, the car isnt able to play any music. When I plug in a device to the AUX, no volume comes out although it shows the music playing on my phone. When playing a CD, it says the CD is playing but again, no sound. Radio says something along the lines of "no signal detected" (forgot the exact message). Does anybody know what is going on here and a solution?
Also, is there a way to boost the w211 from somewhere other than the actual battery in the trunk? Was quite the struggle getting the trunk open to boost the car so it would be helpful to know in the future in case something like this happens again.
Thank you!

I hope you did not fry the radio by jumping surge.
Maybe someone has a solution here, but you might be due visit to professional shop.
Wagons do have jumping prongs under the hood, but not sedans.
Beat me why as all W210 sedans do have jumping prongs.
Beware that electronic cars don't like voltage spikes what have to happen when you jump with cheap cables and/or don't make proper clamping.

PS: On 211 like yours--jumping the battery terminals is the only suggested spot!!
