also, since the pictures in the original post were taken, I've also removed 2 of the 3 shims in the rear to drop the rear down a bit more. Unlike most others who have put H&R springs on their 4Matics, I didn't have the reverse rake and actually had quite a bit of forward rake so this evened out the level of the car.

hey guys,
@a100steaksauce, my rear spacers are from H&R and the fronts are from 42 Draft Designs. I had some problems with the fronts I got from H&R which is why I went with 42DD. If i had to do it all again, I'd go 42DD right from the start. Great company to work with and great pricing.

This weekend I also had the big center resonator chopped and replaced it with a Magnaflow Tru-X x-pipe. Definitely created more noise, a nice tone, without it being over the top. I don't want this car to be as loud as my previous ones but it definitely has the ***** it needed now sound-wise. I will be recording a sound clip with my camera tonight so it's good quality and will post a link shortly after!

Not sure for the e63 mufflers but c63 could run you anywhere from 400 to $1000+ USD simply because these specific ones only came on the prefacelift w204 which should be from 08-11. They're a bit hard to come across nowadays so just try to keep and eye out.

thanks for the info man! getting them for 400 would be such a steal!

I love the sound, deep and throaty between 1000-1800 rpm. Gets a little higher over that no real drone. Down shifts gargle and burp. Sounds sweet, I compare it to playing a bassoon and an oboe when on the gas and off.

thanks guys, I'm pretty excited with how the car looks now. the pictures don't really do the wheels any justice.
I just ordered some interior goodies (VIP type stuff) and a new carbon fiber rear spoiler so she's starting to come along nicely!

The pic was actually taken right off of 12th street in the West Bottoms of KC. Are you a local? My stocks are just sitting in my living room staring at me!

Yup local!
Live in Shawnee.
I worked a MBKC for about 8yrs, have had about 20 MB's and currently have my E500 4matic wagon, the wifes R350 and I have a 2001 CLK320 cab that I am fixing up to sell.
I know the W211's inside and out so if you have any questions feel free to shoot me a message.
If you are itching to sell the stock wheels let me know what you want for them.
They are one of my favorite MB wheels and think they would look awesome on the wagon.

I'll definitely keep that in mind for questions. There's still so much about this car I don't know.
As of right now I'm leaning towards holding on to the stocks since I have dedicated winter tires on them already but should that change I'll most definitely let you know! Hope to see you around!

Nice man! glad to know you're local, we should definitely meet up sometime. Do you ever make it out to the KC Cars and Coffee? If not you definitely should!

I made it out to C&C last year. I will for sure make it out again. I work with the guy who has the Red 95 Cobra with Coyote swap that was there last week.

I have a question for those more knowledgeable than myself.
Looking to do the brakes on the car in the next 5-10k miles, they're starting to wear and I can feel it. On both of my previous cars I went with a Stoptech upgrade that included OEM sized slotted rotors with pads and fluid.
Since my car has the AMG and Sport packages it has the big drilled rotors up front. Are there any alternatives for the rotors to go slotted? I wouldn't even mind drilled replacements but with something like a Hawk or Akebono pad. I've searched RockAuto, PelicanParts and R1Concepts but I can't seem to get definitive answers on what's available for my particular model. Can anyone provide any information on this topic?

hey just wondering since I see you added LED for Low Beam, is there a certain brand you are using ? I'm debating between HID or LED but I heard LED is much harder to replace due to the headlight housing space ?

The LED bulbs I found on ebay, and I did have to dremel out the metal retaining clips in my headlights to get them to fit because of the heatsink/fan on the back of them. If I had to do it all over again I would've just gone HID. I actually bought new retaining clips with the intention of switching them out to proper HID at some point.
