2004 E320 /AC compressor doesn't engaged after I replaced AC dryer

hello guys ,

After I replace my AC dryer ( was leaking before ) the AC compressor doesn't engaged (pulley is spinning but I didn't hear the click) . I bought a can of Freon 134R I would like to charge it by myself. what is the best way to enforced the compressor to run then add freon through low pressure port ? they want to charge me 250 $ for that .

thank you

First R134a is NOT a freon.
2nd after dryer replacement you should make sure you have adequate oil in the system, then vacuum it, keep vacuum for several minutes to confirm no leak and only then charge the refrigerant.
The can pressure is about 60 psi. Once you charge car AC to about 30psi, all should start working.
Find label under the hood how much refrigerant it takes and charge by weight.
