ECU - Weird Starting Problem
Hello, I would really appreciate any help or hint to understand this problem
1. 2006 E350 stopped starting last month (No crank)
2. MB dealer diagnosed the car with bad ECU
3. ECU was repaired by a local ECU repair shop
4. The car starts now once or twice after connecting the ECU. Then it will not start again (No crank)
5. When disconnecting and connecting the ECU again, the car will start once and twice then will not start again
Does this make any sense at all?

I received the iCarsoft i980, looks like a nice device.
I have connected the ECU and cleared all errors, drove the car for 15-20 minutes, and now it wont start again.. no errors at all and no crank

After several tries in the afternoon to start the car without any luck (no crank), we decided to tow the car to the dealership.
Approx. 5 minutes before the tow truck arrived, the car started again, on and off several times, driven for 15-20 miles and everything seams to be normal
What do you guys think, should I still take the car to the dealership? run any additional tests?

SDS you can trace drive authorization, and see if it is stopped somewhere... this would narrow down faulty components. Not sure if carsoft can do the same.
You can also check what your gear selector /gear box status is (do you have 5G or 7G?).
Have you checked there is no sign of water damage around ECU boxes?

I checked SDS (System diagnosis) with iCarsoft - No faults
I think I have the 5G (how to check)
There is no sign of any water damage anywhere
Thanks mersum1es!
