Keyless-Go - starts fine but no doors working

Unlocking or locking of my 2007 E550 via Keyless-Go not working on any door handle, but start button on shifter works fine. All FOBs (remotes) have new batteries and work fine. 25A Fuse for Keyless-Go fine. I have to use FOB to lock and unlock car. Any suggestions? Thanks!

So the trunk open button on the fob works, but the trunk handle does not?
Does the trunk close button in the cabin and the trunk work?

Sorry for confusion. Trunk not involved. Just all Keyless-Go on all door handles. All buttons on FOB including trunk work fine. Trunk handle works.

It's the handles. Very poor design and the fail every few years.

But all four at same time? Must be other reason.

Key LED should flash indicating it is responding to wake-up request if not, and all handles are inoperable it could be a malfunctioning antenna in left rear door KG control module. Definitive diagnose have fault codes pulled with MB DAS rather than chase parts.

I think keyless go also involves the gas tank filler. Does that work? Did they all work and then suddenly stop? Bad door handles are very common, but typically when they fail, either it doesn't lock or unlock although they can both go bad. Cheapest way is to have it diagnosed as mentioned above, the door handles list for around $300 each although they can be had for $150-$200 online depending on the color of the handle. I had one go bad after less than a year, but I had it replaced under MB's 12 month/12k warranty on repairs.

This may sound strange but a couple of months ago the rear left door handle stopped functioning to unlock/lock the car. I ordered a new handle and set about trying to unscrew the torx screw when I realized my torx screwdriver was just not long enough, however while trying to fiddle with the wiring or plugs through the small hole, the handle suddenly started functioning and has been functioning normally ever since. I did not return the new KG door handle, just in case the original ever fails again.

Gas tank lock does not work. All locks work fine but gas tank lock does not engage.

Update: The original rear left door handle started playing up again. I'm glad I did not return the new handle, just replaced it and all is fine now.

ScottDD, did you manage to get this resolved? I have the same issue with no keyless doors locking unlocking (working only with FOB), everything else including trunk lock button works fine cheers
