Air suspension - Arnott the way to go?
Hello,
My son has a 2006 e500. Today the passenger rear corner is about sitting on the ground.
I did some searching and looks like Arnott replacement air springs are the way to go? Especially because of the easier install. A couple of questions:
-Will the raising / lowering and adjustable stiffness still work?
-It looks like only one side has failed. Ok to replace just one side?
Thanks in advance, Mike.

I am also a bit confused. When I came out this morning the car was bottomed out in that corner. When we started the it raised up to normal height. We moved the car, shut it off and it sank to the ground in about 2 minutes, you could hear the air coming out. I then moved the car into the garage, it raised up again. Now the car has been sitting for about an hour, and it has not moved, confirmed by measuring. Is it possible it simply reset?
Please advise, thanks.

Try raising and lowering the car in the garage and turn the wheels right to left several times. This may show up a bad fitting or leaking air shock. if you hear air try spaying mixture of liquid dish soap and water around where you here the air so as to pinpoint the source. Also, yes arnott is the way to go on replacement, everything works as OEM. Replace in pairs. I have arnotts on my E500. On the rear there is no need to remove the air tanks when using arnotts. Also it may be a rear hose fitting to an air tank that is the problem.

Most likely leaky valve and check valves.
Could you pinpoint the noise?
If you have SD you can start checking what pressure the system holds.
Not having SD I installed traditional pressure gauge on the line.
