E350 4matic
Device unavailable

Out of nowhere my 2009 E350 4matic says "device unavailable " on my radio screen. Had a free trial of Sirius during the month of May & everything was fine. All of a sudden one day, NOTHING. No sound from auxiliary, am/fm radio, satellite radio, navigation & CD. Car was purchased used 10 months ago from a used car crook so I don't know the history & they didn't give me an owners manual so when I asked for one they gave me a manual for a 2005, NOT a 2009 so I'm not sure if it's the fuses, tried pulling them out & putting them back. I also tried unplugging the wire under the rear driver seat. Still broke. Amplifier was changed by rip-off used car dealer when I first purchased, not sure if he took it out of another Benz on the lot like the manual & spare tire? That might not be the issue since everything was working fine & this happened out of the clear blue.

Disconnect the battery, wait a minute or two, then reconnect this may restore function. If not, need to have someone pull fault codes using MB diagnostics.

Disconnecting battery didn't work. My passenger side CV boots need to be replaced, maybe my mechanic can take a look while my E is in the shop.

With boots it is more like
you pay me $200 now or
you pay me $3000 later in towing cost and emergency repair at stealer mercy.

Lift up the back seat, lift up the felt covering. Find the brain for the Command System Tuner called a Continental. Look under it at what looks like an Amp. Reach through the gap in the sheet metal and unplug that connector for power. Give it a minute or so and plug it back in. The Tuner and Audio Selector should work again.

Tried that, tried disconnecting battery and pulling and reinstalling fuses. I'm thinking software update?? Something about getting free Sirius for a month triggered the malfunction maybe?
