deteriorating rubber seals
Hey guys, new to to forum. I just bought an 05 e320 4Matic for a steal, and it's many steps up from any car I've ever driven.
It's got a few minor problems, like a bouncing lock, but nothing major, which is great.
One thing that concerns me is there seems to be a lot of rubber seals all around, and many are deteriorating. The windshield cowl is cracked and falling apart, and I've done research about that (have to buy the whole plastic piece, $$$).
One thing I couldn't find out about is the rubber seals around the tail lights and trunk lid. On my car it is in pieces already, and I am worried about water intrusion. Does anybody know the part# or how I can get ahold of this? Here is a link to a picture (not my car) with green arrows pointing to the part I'm talking about.

Well.... I've been dealing with some damages the dealers did servicing our 2008 model for PO and small grommets are very hard to match as EPC doesn't show them on blow-ups, while list has 5-10 same looking grommets in different sizing.
Match small size that supports coolant vent hose on 2008 bluetec become impossible, when fixing small stuff on father's 1987 Mercedes, I found on junk yard the needed size grommets and coming form 1980's those are perfectly flexible and strong.
The same situation had in the past, when looking for 1998 window regulator, I was removing the same part in much better quality plastic from early 1980's models.
