Airmatic reset tool for arnott rear airbags
I have tried searching for an answer to this topic and have not found an answer so please forgive me if I missed it in another thread. I bought a 2005 e500 4 matic several months ago and it has developed a slow leak in the drivers rear airbag. Having watched the YouTube videos on replacing the airbags with the arnott bags I ordered a set feeling that I could tackle this job. The instructions say that the selonoids will only open with the MB star software and I checked this with the tech line at arnott. Will anyone of the other scan tools allow the airmatic system to be cycled...such as the I carsoft MB ii scanner or does this have to go to someone with MB star?

Out Of Control!!
Any scanner that can read the airmatic control module will be able to cycle the solenoids.
FYI they aint 19.99 scanners, expect to pay 500--700---you best bet return the aftermarket crap----find a local MB indy and get on with your life----then read a good book on understanding ones limitation's!!

Beware of commercial spammers that will lure you into spending 100's of dollars for something you can do with paper clip.
With the knowledge of airmatic spread into tens of topics it is not easy to find all the answers in just a minute, but members reported deflating the bags using 9V battery, or after removal of top valve, you can push the shrader valve with ... paper clip.
