X pipe and muffler delete on 03 E 320

I am planning on removing my resonator and replacing it with a magnaflow x pipe that's 2.25 in diameter and 12 in in length. Along with this I plan to do a muffler delete with a straight through muffler and acoustic materials on the inside of it. Does anyone have an idea on how it will sound and or what problems I might face?

what are you trying to achieve?
if its better sound youre after...
1. x pipe wont do much difference,
2. x pipe and muffler delete on a V6 will sound like a lawnmower on steroids.
3. x pipe and a good muffler can make a big difference.

i would start with a good brand muffler and leave the x pipe for later.

Any good mufflers that would fit on my e320? Also I have been looking at X pipe and muffler deletes on c 300 and 350's and they sound pretty darn good to me. I'm just confused as to if its gonna sound like mine or not

had an E320 before, x pipe, and muffler delete, we put the muffler back straight away. then found a set of AMG mufflers from a scrapyard, (dont know what AMG though) put the secondary cat back, so we removed the xpipe then installed the old AMG mufflers. sounded deep on wot and quiet on idle.

sound mod is the same as aesthetics. what looks good on others may look hideous to some and vice versa.

i dont know where youre from but ive read a few members use magnaflow. must be alright. or if youve got money to spend, check out meisterschaft.

It must have sounded really loud because you took off the secondary cats. I don't intend to do that at all, instead I wanted to remove the resonator with the x pipe in place and have a straight flow muffler along with some kleemans headers in the future and a tune. And no I cannot upgrade bc this is my only car

sorry my bad, i meant resonator and not the secondary cat.

either way, its still up to you mate. im just giving you my first hand experience. a V6 will never sound right unless you spend some money and yet still wont sound like a V8 if thats the sound youre after.

As of right now I'm on a budget because I want to get 20% tint all around soon. Btw I don't have a pic of my Benz on here yet but it's a nice clean white color with black plasti dipped rims. And I am not looking for a v8 sound, I'm looking for a nice v6 sound. Preferably a g35 sound or something close.
