Why I wonder?

I actually wonder why a lot of people do this? Does it give one some personal satisfaction to have a E550 badge in the rear, knowing that the car does not have the power as advertised?

Why do Peeps put "M" Badges on their BMW's? It either is an "M Package", or it is not.

This is why I "de-badge" the rear on my cars, then no one knows what it really is and it looks a lot better. (IMO)
