Radio trying to read a non existing CD, and disconnecting speakers
Hey guys! Sorry if this is in the wrong thread or if it already is a thread about this, but im desperate.
Lately my car radio has just started a life of its own. The CD player is trying to read a CD that it thinks is in the CD player, even though its empty. And when it does it disconnects my speakers. This happens very frequently (every 2-5 seconds). After it has tried to read the ''CD'', it stops for about 15-20 min. Anyone knows what the problem might be?
And at the same time as this issue popped up, my speakers started to make loud ''crackling'' noises, wich also happens every 2-5 seconds with a brief pause of about 5-10 sec. It sounds like its only coming from the front door speakers.
Any help is much appreciated!

there's a jumper harness you plug into both fiber optic cables to by pass components. You most likely need a head unit though.... CD drive sounds to me like it's toast taking down the whole system.
