Thank you for posting this list. It is a great list. I have seen it before but not so up to date. What is great about your list is you list the TSB #.

Thanks.

Can we discuss we got what fixed on this list?

I thought it would be useful to start discussing how many of these issues were resolved. How easy was it to fix, etc.

Thanks

i8hotdogs - What was the fix for the fog lamp screen thing? I assume you are talking about the small bottle cap size thing that sits right in front of the fog lamp bulb? One of mine has falled off and is laying the bottom of the lamp. Did they replace the entire housing? Thanks!

BMcD-E500 - Yes, it is that bottle cap looking thing. I noticed one mine fell off while I was drying my car. I took back to the dealer and they did have to replace the whole thing. A few weeks later, the other side popped off too. Both sides have been replaced.

BMcD-E500 - They eventually replace both housings. I believe that was the only fix. Both caps popped out.

Thanks for the update. My car goes in tomorrow for a oil change and to fix the fogs. That's the only thing to go wrong with the car in the past 16,000 miles. 26,000 miles and counting!

Thank You VERY much for these!

I've got Service B scheduled for next week, and these will come in handy (although the dealerships service writer probably won't think so ).

Thanks again!

#1 on your list I had done- fixed the cap but came back(popped off again)
#2 will be going back for the third time(seems to cut out only blasting it in the summer)
#3 never noticed lack of power but of course my first engine seized driving in the rain(flood the engine, service advicer said it's common for the e class. Atleast one comes in each summer! Bad intake design.)
#4 never touch it being two years old(almost), time to replace anyways.
#5 new engine
#6 same as #4

out of all those the stereo really ticks me off

P-67_29-10 APR 04 A/C - Rear Window Won't Heat in the Upper Area
P-42_46-27C DEC 03 Brakes - Buzzing Noise During SBC Pressure Build-up

I have had a number of the other issues which have been resolved by the dealer.

With regard to the steering wheel heater: mine doesn't work, either. Since this is not that big a deal, I waited until my first service appointment to ask the dealer about it. Unfortunately, at that point it was too warm for the dealer to get the heater to turn on; they told me they can only diagnose problems with the heater when it is cold out.
