'04 E320 Hesitation?
New here...first post.
Since the purchase of my '04 E320 in May, I've noticed hesitation while starting out from a complete stop. This happens in forward as well as reverse. I've gotten to the point where I'm hesitant about entering intersections, exiting my driveway, or backing out at the supermarket. Has anyone else experienced this type of problem? It's driving me crazy. I'll be mentioning it when I bring it in for the recall, but didn't want them to tell me this is normal.

I had the exact same problem. I waited until my first service and talked to my tech about it. When I got the car back, things were much better.
Don't wait like I did.

My dad's car does this also.
Maybe once during every hour of driving.
No consistent pattern other than it seems to always occur during light acceleration at lower rpms.
Dealer unable to recreate the problem.
Not sure if they flashed the brain while it was in their but they had the car for several days and at least they did NOT charge my dad for the rental.
Logically I am thinking that the lame electronic accelerator pedal is the culprit but also wondering whether the crank sensor may be lame like it was on my mom's 2000 E320.
Just not sure yet. Hard to troubleshoot since this happens so infrequently.
