2003 E500 Benz & 2015 BMW M235ix
Rust Found under Both Front Doors
last week when removing road tar from my outside rocker panels, I found rust spots on the underside of both front doors. I just got it back from rust removal repair work from an independent auto body shop that only charged me $250 per door. The rust on the right door had already started creeping up inside. The manager said he's seen this type rust quite a bit on Mercedes' doors. My suggestion is that those of you that have older an older Benz like mine (2003) to do an inspection of the bottom of all your vehicle's doors and if you find any rust, get it repaired right away.

If I recall W210 had service campaign on door protection, so it is disappointing they did not fix it on W211.
