Just Ordered a MB

Hi guys,

I'm officially de-lurking (lol). I've been reading posts on the forum for a long time and a couple of weeks ago I finally ordered an E350. Here are the specs:

2011 E350 Luxury
Palladium silver
Black leather
Burl walnut
Premium 2
Drivers assistance package
Parktronic
Drive-dynamic multicontour driver seat with massage
Split-folding rear seats
iPod integration kit

The only thing I was on the fence about, and decided not to get, was the panoramic sunroof. I usually keep my cars for a long time and I wanted to avoid as many squeaks and rattles as possible (long term). From reading the forum I understood the coolness factor of it but in the end I decided I'd be happy without it

Anyway, my order went in a couple of weeks ago so I have about 10 weeks of waiting to do (which is VERY hard!). I look forward to posting pics when it finally arrives!

I might have a bunch of irritating questions between now and then (or even after it arrives) but bear with me! I promise to do that unheard of thing and actually read the manual!

p.s. bonus points to anyone who understands my username

Thanks Dema I've always liked that pic of your car in your posts. It's one of the reasons why I chose Palladium silver

Congrats

Mine is almost the same as your except I have the sport version with 4matic.

If I had to do it over I would not have purchased the drivers dynamic multi contour seat.

My last car was a BMW 335xi.

If you are serious about actually reading the manual, you can download it and read it in advance here:

The best feeling next to the day before X-mas as a ten year old.
I bet you can't wait.

So.... what's the meaning behind your screen name?

Really? How come? Did you think it wasn't worth it after you got it, or is it giving you problems or something?

Yeah, I waited a long time too. I've spent lot of time lurking here and there's been a lot of great info which helped me when it was time to order. Hope you get to order yours soon.

You're right, it is like the day before x-mas! Only it seems like a very, very LONG day. My screen name is the name of my favorite poet. After I made that username I thought, "How dumb is that, to use that name for a MB forum? What was I thinking?" LOL! But now I guess I'm stuck with it.

Yeah, I kind of agonized about the color. I knew everything else I wanted pretty much right away but it took me a long time to decide on Palladium Silver. I was thinking Steel Grey for a while but my current car is a very similar color and I wanted something a little different.

Multicontour Seat

The lumbar on the multicontour is not as good. It only has a high and low bladder so you can't move it up and down. The lumbar on the stock seat is much better.

The leg extensions is a joke, it only moves a couple of inches
