I have a similar problem. sometimes the ipod (classic) goes into a loop of trying
to start up. all you see is the apple logo (but very vaguely )
The ONLY fix that works is to charge the ipod via my cigarette lighter (or
at home). As soon as I plug it in, the ipod comes back to life.
