I've been waiting and waiting for 2012 E550!

I'm very frustrated. I originally was going to consider a 2011 125th anniversary car for Canada. The dealer built this up as being the next big thing in the Benz lineup. I waited as no one could tell me what made it "special". I waited until I found out you saved $1280.00 on "standard option" plus you get a badge on each side of the fender. That was it after waiting 3 months on this hype. I saw an anniversary car come into the dealership and it was no big deal. I thought Mercedes would have offered an anniversary colour or different interior or something but no, nothing. I think they did this to help clean out the old V8 engine stock over the summer and this is why they have delayed the launch of the 2012 E series. So, I've been waiting for info on the 2012's since last May/June. I'm ready to buy cash but I can't get any information on the 2012. I guess if they let the info out it will kill the sales of the 2011 with the new engine etc. I've owned 3 BMW's over the years but I like the "E" I have now but my patience is getting very thin. Has anyopne out there heard anything when the specs and prices are to be released by the dealers? Toban

550 production is a month or two behind the 350s; you likely won't see one on ground until November/December.

The 125th package on the E550 is minor. The 350s got the significant content, as they had fewer options to begin with and they are by far the volume model. Having said that, the designo wood trim is stunning.
