I ordered them last Friday. Mine should be in today or tomorrow at the latest. They were $154 and some change. Does that sound right with you guys?

Thanks for the info. I'll file that for future use. I do like ordering from my dealership. The parts manager is a sweet young lady who is very customer oriented and always cuts me a break when she can. However, on the door pins, she told me up front, what she would have to charge me. She did give me a great deal on the MB OEM AMG pedal assemblys I ordered in October, as well as a few other small accessories.

I was just curious if anyone else was getting them cheaper than $70 a pair at the dealer. Thanks Konigstiger, for your info. That is a source I wasn't aware of.

Yes, they are the combination aluminum and rubber pedals. As a matter of fact, the entire accelerator assembly was removed and replaced. It was not just a cover. The other two replaced the factory rubber covers and had a rubber edge that stretched over the metal pedal. The only down side is that MB does not have a dead pedal cover to match. I want one of those real bad. CrazyMOMO, here on the forum, has a cheaper set that screws on for $65. He will not break the set to sell the dead pedal cover. I may have to order his entire set to get the dead pedal cover. It doesn't match 100% but it is so close. His actually has AMG etched in the middle and the factory ones do not, or at least the set I got from MB doesn't. I could live with screwing on the dead pedal cover, since it is a little different animal than the others.

You ask about the price, I don't remember specifically, but I believe it was somewhere around $150 to $165.

How do those pins install? I've heard that you feel like you are destroying the old ones trying to unscrew 'em!

I HATE the stock pins . . . they look like a cheap IKEA molding!

Can you provide me a direct link to the pins. I cannot find them on the above link. My delaer called me this morning to tell me she got my pins in but they wre $70 a PIECE, not $70 a set! That means a total of $280 for a set of door pins! I told her MB factory parts source simply made an error in pricing them to her. She said she even went back and looked at the accessories book and now interprets it as meaning $70 a piece also. I know that's not right.

Can anyone provide me a dealer's name where you received them for $70 a SET from a dealer? She asked me to send her that info, if there was in fact a dealer selling them for $70 a SET.

Any information anyone could provide would be appreciated.

i'm not sure if parts.com have them but check them out as well. i've noticed they are probably one of the lowest prices, if not the lowest, on oem parts.

I received my order yesterday, to my surprise, only one door pin showed up for each front and back doors. I called this morning and the price of $56 was per pin not for the set of two

I ended up ordering the other two pins any ways but the cost, obviously, doubled.

That's insane for such a small peice of nothing. I was considering doing the same, but not at that cost. Ridiculous.

there aren't that many options, these door pins are made of stainless steel, look very nice and are heavy, the other option was a plastic set from ebay for around $35-$50 a set...so I decided to bite the bullet and go with the nicer set...but yes the price is ridiculous.

Yes Sir, can I relate to your story. That is exactly what happened to me except my price was $70 and when they came in I was told that was for each...the parts manager was even shocked! The total would have been $280 for the four pins. She finally told me she would sell them to me at cost which was $45 a piece, or a total of$180 plus tax. I told her I would need a few days to think about it. I haven't called her back yet. She will need to order the other two if I decide I want them. I did see them when I went down to the dealership. They are like a brushed stainless steel with a small black "AMG" etched in the top of each one. I'm pretty sure no one would ever notice them except the owner. It has become hard for me to justify $200 for something no one else would ever notice. I got real close a couple times since last Friday but haven't done it yet. Being one of the more liberal modders of the "E Class," even I couldn't do it. My hat is off to you Fcienfuegos, I salute you old friend!

I got mine from ebay (don't remember which seller). If they are plastic, they sure don't look it. I'm very happy with them, especially after seeing what you have to pay for OEM!

Don

Can you post a few pics?? I'd love to see what they look like. My 2005 C55 had beautiful door pins! Too bad MB had to start cutting costs.
