E550 is discontinued accordingly posts in this forum, so you simply can't compare not exiting car, so it is why OP chosen E350, and E400 isn't available yet.

Pick up a Sprintbooster. Solves the issue and I am really pleased with my 550's response now.

What? You think the CLS550 is more fun than an E63?
Or were you just saying that CLS550 > E550 and CLS63 > E63?

The E550 is not discontinued yet, and this is an almost 2yr old thread.

Curve on increasing fun as a function of HP isn't linear. When I tested Jaguar F type I found that a less powerful engine is more fun, because 550hp just makes your wheels slip, it isn't really fun believe me.

I know this thread is old but even to this day I absolutely love my W212 but to be honest if I was looking for a CLS550 then that would win everyday!

I just received my 2014 E500 4Matic sedan, so the discontinuance must have been very recent. Did word come from a local dealer--mine wanted me to buy a V6 at first--or from an announcement by Mercedes-Benz?

Perhaps it is a matter of skill or experience.

Going from 40-100 there should be little to no wheel slipping and I have a RWD so I'm not sure what that is about.
