2012 E350 Bluetec Interior

Hi Guys,

I'm considering leasing a '12 E350 BlueTec. They look amazing!

Quick question - can anyone here confirm that the Sports Package on the '12 Bluetec includes the new sport steering wheel with flat bottom?

I grabbed this picture from MBUSA.com. The site mentions "E350 Sport Sedan in Almond/Black with Burl Walnut wood trim" - They do not mention whether or not it is a Bluetec or Gas.

Can anyone confirm that the '12 Bluetec includes THIS steering wheel?

No, the bluetec only comes with the regular steering wheel even with the sports package. The only option is the wood steering for the bluetec. Have the 2012 bluetec.

Yes, you can always make a quic call to a dealer and confirm....

Thanks.... I most often find that dealers either don't know what they're talking about or they give the wrong information.

Let me clarify and get this straight . AMG Package only gives you flat bottom
Non AMG models SPORT - Avantgarde comes with 3 spoke steering wheel
Luxury - Elegance model comes with 4 spoke wheel as standard

does that apply to bluetec? because my 2012 bluetec with sport came with the ugly 4 spoke steering..... while the gas version with sport package comes with the nice 3 spoke one.

Quite frankly , I don't know that far however it should not make any difference since models are same

Good thing, you can change your steering wheel if you like . To your relief , 4 spokes aren't bad at all but I like 3 spoke wheel's buttons

I just got 2012 Bluetec Sport package 2 weeks ago. Mine has wood steering wheel, but I never saw 3 spoke wheel on any Bluetec.
3 spoke wheel comes with Wheel package, which is not available on Bluetec.

OK guys -
I have searched many 2012 E350 Bluetec's on Autotrader, and have found about 30% with P1 and sports package have the new, flat bottom steering wheel, while some do not.

There must be a mid-year cycle change or something.

Well, alan's image has aluminum trim frame as well .In other words ,it's an AMG version with the wheel package and bottom cut whereas standard sport models same as mine come with 3 spoke with less alumium trim and no bottom cut

For vehicles with AMG styling, the change happened for February or March production I believe from the old 4-spoke wheel to the new 3-spoke "sport" wheel.

Therefore, you'll need to check the build date. If you ordered the car, it will have the 3-spoke wheel (assuming you didn't opt for the wood/leather wheel or for the luxury version).

Heated wheel obviously only with 4 spoke. Saw a Btec with wood wheel option that was 3 spoke but no flat bottom. And it was not pretty. Otherwise, agree with other comments

3-spoke sport wheel is now available with heat (code 443).

Absolutely too much of that going on these days...happens to me all the time...literally. I can call someone about info on something...then call back and get someone else, and that person will give me a 180-degree answer...???!!!

I looked at 2 '12 bluetec's sports yesterday. the one with P1 had 4 spoke (same as my 11 bluetec) and the one with p2 had the 3 spoke- no flat bottom. The recieved the 3 spoke car this week.
