Faded wood trim

Is there a service bulletin about fading burl wood trim? I have a 18 month old 2011 Mercedes E350W4 sport, build date around 10/11 and only has 17,000 miles. Wood on center console turning real pale and fade line from being left 1/2 open 50% of the cars current life and drivers side vent area wood washed out. Any help would be appreciated.

LI68.10-P-050415 - 212 burl walnut trim that is fading or discoloring and VIN is between A000988 to A291888 cause inadequate UV protection dealer will replace all trim under warranty.

My vin is in the A375K range. You can see a fade line when closed at the full open & 1/2 open stops should be called zebra burl walnut.

Regardless of your VIN number I would ask your SA to look at it and replace it. If all of your wood’s changing color at the same rate I’d say it’s normal but if it looks like “zebra” it should be replaced under warranty!
