Problem getting SMS Messages to display on Comand Unit
I was wondering if you guys are able to get SMS displayed on your screen. Mine worked when I first got the car but for some reason I am not getting them anymore. It has been a few months. I tried un-pairing pairing nothing worked. Any ideas. I am using Samsung Galaxy S3

Mine never has worked at all Nokia N8
You need a bluetooth module to get SMS displayed on your screen . It's funny though because you said you used to see the sms in your screen
Blackberry owners are lucky because as far as I know they can see their sms in the screen w/o any module or device

I have a Droid Bionic. It's kinda the luck of the draw...some times the text data will link up, and sometimes I get a screen message stating that it failed.

I've tried different S3's in my car and it has the same problem with the SMS not showing up. I also tried my phone in a 13' w12 and the same thing happens. I could live with that fact that maybe it's not compatiable but it was working when i first got the phone, and its on the phone list on mbusa's website... called Samsung they have no idea. I had my techs look at it, they have no idea..other phones worked though eg. Droid Razr..

Well, I just got a software update for my Motorola Droid today and now it won't sync text anymore. Before the upgrade it would sync about 60-70% of the time.

This happened to me with my CLS and Galaxy S2 when I was upgraded to Ice Cream Sandwich. I also lost access to my contacts and could only dial recent incoming/outgoing contacts. I did a hard reset of my phone, and texts/contacts started working again. A month or two later, there was an interim update to ICS on my phone, and the same issue occurred again! I tried EVERYTHING including deleting the phone from my car, deleting my car from the phone... I even read online somewhere that clearing the data for the bluetooth app might help. No dice.
I refused to reset my phone yet again, so I just left it. I just recently got the Galaxy Note II, and now all is well again. I think if any updates get pushed to my phone, I will unpair the phone first before applying the update and hope this issue doesn't happen again.

Important Note: It worked only after Apple upgraded to IOS 6.

I was able to get SMS messages to work with my 2013 and iPhone5 after enabling notifications in the bluetooth settings on the phone. Not sure if Android has a similar option but it may be worth checking out.
