It's got a great flow, very cohesive and smoothe. Almost looks like a German Car .Thinking of picking it up as a second car. Any other choices for a sub 30k daily car ? Thx

the accord sedans styling is a big improvement over the last one. Initially i thought the hyundai genesis looked like a bigger accord, now this accord looks like a smaller genesis, which makes it look like an accord? lol. honda accords are solid cars, have had a couple in my family, minor maintenance except they often have a transmission problem for the ones ive seen made in the late 90s and early 2000s, not sure if that problem still exists today. the kia optima looks pretty good but i drove one as a rental and wasnt a big fan of the seats for 3 hour drives, the interior in the optima is too simple also in my opinion. test drive the new mazda6, when i had the prev gen as a rental ive always thought they looked good and drove pretty decently.

It's nice and would make a solid second car. Looks practically identical to the Genesis in areas.

What I hate is the Asian-car-manufacturer culture of warmed over copycat, non-innovative design. Just yesterday my Mom was asking me if she should trade in her Lexus and said "I wouldn't even mind one of those new Honda's that look like BMW's or Hyundai's that look like Mercedes'".

The new Accord to me looks like they took the previous gen Accord and tried to make it look as close to a budget-sacrificed 5 Series/E Class love child. And that's precisely what could make it appealing to many.

I would also check out the KIA Optima. It is a surprisingly good car as well, and, to my eye, is far more distinctive and attractive. Also, the new Mazda6 would also make my list above the accord. I recently road in a new Passat TDI and was very impressed. That would be an amazing second car. Big, roomy, German feeling, and amazing fuel economy. What's not to like.

Honestly right now my ideal combo would be a a sedan like an E / 5 segment car and then a FR-S/BRZ. Those little things look so fun. It's like having the best of both worlds.

The Passat is a great value and would make the ultimate beater, only prob is that IMO it looks as bland as a spoon. It looks like those generic cars drawn on Insurance ads that are meant to have no character and resemble the "ubiquitous car".

Why not look in to the Impreza WRX. The non-STi models go for under $30,000 and it's really fun to drive. It would be a perfect second car.

Reading this comment reminded me of this pic. It's an older model Accord.

I have seen really good reviews of the Mazda 6 as well. They are also giving great deals on the Infiniti G37, which is being replaced by their new Q50. They are keeping the G37 in production for another two years but have lowered the price, might be a tad over $30,000. The Accord has gotten great reviews. My take on the Accords is that they used to have a very stiff ride(if you live where there are bad roads could be an issue) and had a pretty noisy cabin. Not sure if new version addressed those issues. Regards. Ned.

Also, not sure of the pricing, but the new Chevy Impala just got a 95 rating from Consumer Reports!! That's one hell of a score. Regards. Ned.

The new Impala is awesome! Way more character and interesting than the Accord. If it were a real wheel drive then it would be seriously serious.

I actually have noticed the new accords, and they're not that bad......they never really were that bad and have usually had a pretty decent style for this price range.....
and of course dependable as hell, and probably great on gas these days too
one thing I have noticed is the camera on the rearview side mirror? or is that something
else? any good tech in these cars?

2013 E350 Coupe
The Honda Accord is really nice, Do a side view comparison of the Accord Coupe against the C Coupe and you can see that Honda is heavily influenced by MB. A great daily driver, but if you think our Command system is "buggy", the infotainment system on the Accord is terrible. All the other tech goodies worked well. I test drove the coupe (V6 EXL W/Leather) and a MT and for a FWD car it was pretty nice.
