I think a good vinyl shop would make it look just as good if not better
The E550 rocker panels are indented with that same shape where the shadow chrome insert seemingly goes on the E63... however it's deeper on the E63 and you can see there is an actual insert over the rocker panel....

Instead of $600 for the inserts, I agree with instantfob that it would be infinitely cheaper to use vinyl wrap. $16 for kit at Amazon...
