It's a late launch color for 14 Es (Jan launch). For 15 they have rebranded the color as "designo" Cardinal Red vs. just Cardinal Red in 14. Expect it to probably be on the website when they update the configurator for the 15 E Class (still on 14 right now). Doubt it'll be on the ML- color seems to edgy for the conservative color palette that they use on the ML.

Barrier in Bellevue WA has one on the lot right now. E350 4Matic (I think), moderate options - pano, keyless, no lighting package. (mark on door is a reflection, not a scratch)

I have a '13 ML350BT now and realize that for MY15, the 350BT goes bye bye. Have been considering getting an E250BT. Having this color available is making the choice a little more difficult. I like the room in the ML, but the 40+mpg, plus this color might just sway me.

Maybe not the most masculine color, but it does stand out in a sea of silver, grey, and black. I don't mind it, and like many colors, it looks sharp with pano. Kind of dopey that an otherwise well optioned car is lacking the lights, though.

FYI: Garff Benz in SLC, UT has a '14 E550 4Matic in Cardinal Red on their lot for ~$75K... I don't recall the options. I prefer the interior mods they made in '14 vs '12.

That is one stunning E550. What interior color? Judging by the options you have, it is likely that this may be only E550 with all of these options and color combination in the country.

I want a Cardinal Red, or Mars Red wagon w/sport package
In my opinion, the Cardinal red is a refreshing update to the EClass. The dealer told me it would be available for the 2015 models so I planned on ordering a new wagon. Now I see it is available but not if you order the sport package. WHY??
The Cardinal Red wagon was the first official photo, on the cover, of the new upgraded body changes for the 2014 brochure. Someone liked it at MB.
My wife has a new 14 C350 sedan painted mars red. She is always getting compliments on the car. Now the new C205s are not available in RED!.
The salesman said not to even ask to have MBUSA make a Cardinal Red, Sport package. Other than having a car repainted anyone know how to get it done from the factory?
I do not understand their thinking.

The E400 Wagon can be built in Hyacinth Red for Canada with sport package (standard) so I think your dealer is confused. While it may be a MBUSA decision to limit the paint, it is definitely not a factory restriction.
