Disturbance in the force, there is.

Dear MB-friends, three questions regarding my E350:
  1. How can I switch the permanant outside temperature in the driver display from Fahrenheit to Celsius?
  2. How can I turn off the annoying check signal that sounds after key-on?
  3. Eco button off as default…I guess still no solution to that yet?
Appreciate any input to solve these disturbance in the MB force.

Thanks!

1. This wont be the most clear answer, but you can change it by going to display options on the driver display. Its on the 2nd page if you keep going right.

2. No idea what sound youre talking about, but it seems like a sound that wouldnt be able to be turned off.

3. No way

1. You can't. It's pretty annoying but it is what it is. You can have it show speed in km/h instead but that's about it. Same for the A/C controls, it's all imperial.

2. Fasten your seatbelt before turning the ignition on, no annoying sounds.

3. There is no easy way although there is someone in Belarus selling a video-in-motion controller that ties onto the CAN-BUS that allegedly can do it. I haven't seen it personally.

For some reason I turn on the car before I buckle up (old habit I guess). Usually I can fasten the seat belt before the bell starts, but not always. I so wish it would wait another couple of seconds...

the only options I found for the driver display is: 1) outside temperature in Farenheit and 2) speed in km/h?

1) Can't be done by the end user BUT can be done by someone with the Mercedes Xentry / DAS computer. An independent mechanic or dealership should be able to do this

2) Can also be done via Xentry/DAS, but since it's the seat belt buzzer some of them fear liability lawsuits for doing so. It is a simple on/off setting.

3) Haven't heard of a factory way to do this, but this guy sells an adapter which can do it: http://www.ebay.com/itm/MERCEDES-Video-in-Motion-TV-Free-E-C-GL-ML-B-A-CLA-CLS-GLA-GLK-class-2011-2014-/261300404921?hash=item3cd6b7c2b9
