do i have lane departure?

hey guys, i have a 2010 E-350 coupe w/ P2 package that i bought certified used about a year ago. i was having my windshield replaced and they asked if i had lane departure and i said no, so the tech showed up with a replacement windshield but apparently i do have a lane departure camera installed...he popped open the console behind the rear view mirror and there was definitely a camera in there. any ideas if all e350 coupes just came with them in there or do i indeed have lane departure? (if i do, how the heck do i enable it, because its not in any of my settings!)

On the 2010 E I think lane departure was part of the driver assist package which also included distronic. Do you have distronic (i.e. plastic shield on grill, distance dial on cruise control stalk)? If not, then it may just be the camera for attention assist or another feature.

It is the camera for adaptive high-beam assist.

That makes sense on your 2014. Sometime after 2011 they started to offer lane departure warning separate from distronic.

Yes, the "optical sensor" in MB talk. I personally find this adaptive High-Beam assist to be rather annoying and just use my own brain and old school method(my hand) to change from low to high beam while in the low beam setting. Little things like changing from low to high beam on an open road at night help me stay alert and un automated.

1+ to that. Too much automation kills the fun of driving anyway.
