This past November, we ordered two new cars: An S550 for myself and and E350 for my wife. The S came in a few weeks ago, just as ordered. The E is due to be at the dealer today, but it did not come with the Nappa Leather we had ordered, just the standard leather. The dealer says that they were not able to order the Nappa at the time, that they STILL cannot order it and when doing a countrywide search on the locater, they say that there is NOT ONE new, 2015 E350 in the ENTIRE USA, with Nappa, leading them to believe that it just isn't and never has been available. All that said, it is still shown on the MB "Build" site. Does anyone have any info on this?

Nappa leather definitely available in Canada for E400, as part of the Exclusive Package.
E350 has been dropped here; replaced by E400, while E550 continues.

I'm sorry to hear that Mercedes did not deliver on your custom order. I hope they make it right for you. I don't know what parameters they're searching with, but a quick, non-exhaustive Autotrader search turns up a couple:

My understanding is that the piping around the headrests and elsewhere only appears on the nappa seats, so that's an easy visual confirmation. Here's an example of standard leather seats on a 2015 (porcelain): Link

I have a 2014 with the porcelain Nappa leather. From what I was told at the time from my dealer is that it was a very limited option for the 14' model year, and the factory only released a certain amount of cars with this interior. For the 14's the Nappa leather wasn't even listed as an option on the configurator and I was even unaware it was an option. From what it sounds like this seems to be the same story for the 15' model year. Seems very similar to the lighting package which was very difficult to find on early build 14's and seems to be much more easily available now. Perhaps it will become more widely available for late 15' early 16' builds.
