Help with media interface and iPhone 5s. Pics attached!!!
So I tried searching the forum but none show the message I'm getting on my iPhone. I don't know if it's my iPhone 5s or the cable I'm using. Let me point out I'm using an apple lighting to 30 pin adapter. Sometimes when I plug in the cable the media interface recognizes it and starts playing music for like 10 seconds then the message (see pic below) appears on my iPhone and media interface stops working. Any help will be much appreciated and sorry for bringing up a very well known issue again.

Is it the original cable that came with the phone? Non OEM cables can be problematic. Make sure your cable is MFi certified.

Have you tried to isolate the issue to the adapter, cable or phone. Try an older apple device with just the cable to be sure that's not it. Try a different phone with the adpater and see how that goes.
While I don't use an adapter with my OEM cable, I do get a message that the device may not work with the cable. However, it continues to work so I just ignore it.

My W211 did not come with a lightening adapter and in the early days before my iPhone 5 I used an iPod and the big old MB cable that did come with the W211 that connected to the socket in the glove box with no issue other than it would not charge the iPod.
The same cable came with my 2011 W212. I bought an adapter cable that takes the 32 pin style connector to the lightening on my iPhone and it works fine.
This is a link to Apple's product but I got mine from the store that sold me my phone.

I respect to the warning about the device not working I have the same experience as others have noted. Just ignore it.
I bought extra cables on line from China. 3 for $9 free shipping. One lost its lightening end but the other 2 are running OK but they give me the same message.

Not really.
The first time i used a non-Apple cable on my iPad in iOS6 I got this message and always on my iPhone regardless of operating system.
I update my phone on Monday to iOS 8.3.1 and charged it OK but today when I turned it on while charging I got the message. I just ignored it of course and it is now fully charged.
It's just Apple being Apple.
