How often do you wash your E? and with what?

I typically wash it every two weeks, but in the summer and fall I wash it weekly and lay down a coat of wax to protect it over the winter. I use regular car wash soap, Meguire Gold Class, and I'm trying out the Maguire White Wax. Before then I used NXT; not a super shine, but good protection. I refuse to do tire shine.

Every week. Alternate between a full wash with the bucket and hose......and a waterless/wipe down process.
Important to note, some form of wax goes on every other month....worth it to make the washing ten times easier/faster.

For me it's mostly aesthetics; I like the contrast of the gloss paint and wheels against the Matt finish of the tire rubber. Also, my car is white, and unless that stuff has time to cure, it tends to fly off the tire and onto my clean white car.

Nothing wrong with it, in fact, tire shine gives a detailed car a finished touch IMO. What sucks is how it slings of onto the side of the car.
Once I finish the car and tire shine I'll take it out for a quick drive at highway speeds to let it sling off, get it back home and wipe the whole car down with quick detailer. After that it's good to go
Personally I prefer Meguars NXT insane shine in an aerosol car. At $10/can it's not cheap but does give the best result IMO.

Try 303 protectant on the tires, been using it for years, gives you a satin type shine, it's quick, and stays on. I keep a dedicated towel, spray plenty on the towel, and just wipe all 4, move the car a couple of feet, and finish up.

a free "gift" from chemicals guys one time was some "wheel wax", I felt silly putting it on after washing and using a wheel cleaner, but damn if it didn't make the wheels look much better.

agreed, there are a few "satin" type wheel dressings that make the tires look "fresh" but not shiny. I always apply with a sponge.

2011 Mercedes-Benz E350 Wagon (Sport)
I just bought an E350 Wagon (Steel Grey) here in NJ and use conveyor car wash with hand dry at least once a week, if not twice, due to salt on the roads. I know that nothing beats a 2 bucket wash, but I'm mostly concerned about the undercarriage, since I'm not sure if NJ puts a salt inhibitor like other states. Plus, not freezing my a$$ off is nice too!
