2013 E400 Price

I have a MB dealer that has a 2013 E400 with 85 miles and it selling it new for $50k, is this a good price and how does the warranty work?, is it 4 years/50000 miles from 2103 or from when the car is sold (i.e 2015).

Ok first of all is the mileage certified as true or has the cluster been changed?
85 miles on a 2 yr old car is not impossible but....?
If true you have to ask what are the ramifications of a car sitting around for 2 yrs? Was it prep'd and stored correctly or has it been sitting around?
I would be cautious personally and particularly at the price. I suspect they are flogging the mileage in the price as something special which in fact could be a detriment.
If it has been in an MB dealership as part of their inventory as a demo that got lost and you would be first owner then you get the full warranty.
If it was used then you get up to 50000 miles or to the in service date in 2017, which ever first occurs.
If they are selling it as a CPO there should be some extended warranty here.
I cannot advise you on price but I am sure you can go on autotrader or similar sites and get a feel for what this model is going for to get a handle in your area but I would still be wary of the mileage unless they can certify it.
Think about this as well. When you go to sell it say in 4 yr. what will the mileage be? Some states require full disclosure of the history.
Do a Carfax as well.
Best I can offer.

E400 Hybrid? If so, not surprising. Tough car to sell.

Depends if it's been titled our not. If not, warr starts when you buy it. You mentioned selling it new, so I'm guessing it's a 'new' car. Highly unlikely an MB dealer is going to screw with the odometer, and IMO it should fine hanging around the lot for a couple of years. Ask them to change the oil when/if you get it

What options does it have P1, P2 Distronic?

Ditto. What's the issue? Is it a Canadian market thing?

With only P1 that seems high. As soon as you drive it off the lot it's now used 2013. Keep looking

I forgot about the E400 hybrid. Sounds expensive even for a new car, and it's warranty starts from the time it's sold. I bet you could have got one for that price in 2013 with incentives negotiations etc. I also agree that as soon as you buy it it's another used 2013 Eclass worth mid30s - which is a lot of immediate depreciation.
