New to me: 2014 E350 4S Wagon

Introducing myself here.

Got a "low mileage" demo vehicle that was owned by MBUSA. 4k miles or so, 2014 model built in 7/2014, and activated 9/2014. Nothing ever registered, nothing ever serviced in its short time. Got it for a good price, considering that the car is well specced. Purchased from a NY dealership/service shop that is well known for restoring some well known classic MBs. Checked the carfax, check with MBUSA rep, and checked the VMI to verify the provenance before purchasing.

Then I wrote them a check, sight unseen. They shipped it out with and I picked it up in LA (Riverside to be exact)!

Specced:
2014 MY - Sport Trim
Premium 1 package
Sport steering wheel
Leather
Vented Seats
Parking Assistance package
Drivers assistance package
18 inch AMG sport wheels
Heated rear seat
Rear side airbags
Wheel locks <woot>

More pics at the dealer:

After its 3000 mile journey on a truck, it was dirty, so I picked it up and brought it to a car wash for a quick clay and wax.

And then I got it tinted.

More pics to come........

Yeah, forgot. Though, I prefer not to be reminded of that

Wanted MB-tex because that stuff is more durable and doesn't wrinkle like leather does. Beggars can't be choosers in this case.

Leather is so much nicer in summer; no plastic odours permeating the interior. Leather is also much nicer to touch than MBTex. IMO, leather seats are more comfortable than MBTex, especially during long drives. One reason might be that the pleats run parallel with your legs, instead of running across the seats with MBTex.

Congrats, you have purchased a very sharp looking wagon !

Don't believe the marketing hype. Having had both I'll take real leather over Tex.

5% vlt (limo) in the back, 35 or 40 vlt front side

The place I got it tinted at was so excited about the car, and he called it "gansta" looking, which I found amusing since he has a new RR supercharged autobiography edition

@rediesel and @derekacs

How well does the leather hold up? Is it pretty durable long term, or does it start wrinkling/ sagging/ cracking like Lexus and GM vehicles pretty quickly?

I'm just looking at conditioning it once in a while

Thanks. We wagon owners like to think we know something the general public doesn't.

Weirdly, I've gotten a lot of stares and complements from total random strangers in this car

while they may not cool as much as you'd like, you get the vented seats with the leather which is a plus in my book over the tex. Having driven a little ways in both tex and leather, I prefer the vented seats for keeping my back from getting hot.

Mercedes Benz e450 Wagon / Porsche 911 Cabriolet
Have had leather in my 911 for 15 years and it's held up like a champ. The key is annual maintenance. Nothing fancy, just a little cleaning and conditioning love goes a long way.

As for the wagon, congrats. I just picked up a new sport wagon coming from a Cayenne Turbo and, despite not having the same power, it's the MUCH better ride. I was literally stunned. I could get into it, but that's probably a topic for a different thread.

My leather after 15 months looks as good as the day I picked it up. I only condition it every couple of months. Get some good conditioner and you will be fine. I like the look and feel of leather better than MB-tex.

Thanks everyone. The car is in perfect condition, except for the trunk close button, which went on the fritz, it sometimes works if you hold it down. Luckily all the other buttons and leg kicks work to open/close the tailgate until I bring it in for service.

I think those are 18x8 wheels, not staggered at all, since those are OEM.
