Oil/Fluid leaking

For the past 3 days, I've been noticing a bit of fluid on the driveway. Parked the car in different spots, same thing. It's a tiled brick driveway so I can't tell the color - but it forms about 1 inch in diameter, sort of underneath where the dash begins in the centre.

Only leaks within half an hour on engine being switched off - no further leaks until you start and switch the engine off again.

It was the weekend so I didn't drive the car - took it in to the dealer for servicing. They're apparently really busy so may not be able to look at the car until Friday.

I'm not mechanically inclined much, so better parked there than me driving it around!

Any known issues? Mine is a 2012 e350 4M with 30k KMs (about 19k miles).

That's anything from ac condensate to coolant to oil or trans fluid. Stick a piece of cardboard under it and you can at least get the color.

I know - I just took the easy way out and dropped it off at the dealership!

thanks for updating, i was waiting to see what the leak was.

Did CPO cover the labour and parts or you had to shell out cost for it?

Did they only repair the leak or are changing the whole transmission?

Just the seal. I asked the SA (known to me for many years) to give the car a thorough look over.

Also talked to the dealership where I got the car from (less than a month ago) - they will pick up the bill for anything not covered under warranty. The car had been sitting on their lot for over 6 months when I bought it, so it's not unusual I guess, but what I'm really cheesed off about is why wasn't this caught during the CPO process. I have half a mind to take this up with someone in MB Canada.

Sounds good.

The 4matic get their transfer case leaking and get worn out very quickly. It was a problem with a lot of w211s. Usually noisy and rough shifting are a sign of faulty transfer case.

Good luck and hopefully the seal and right/proper fluid will fix the issue for you.
