Restoring Radio Preset Buttons

I have a 2010 E350 sedan with only 49,000 miles. The car is virtually perfect. in most every way, but the finish and/or "numbers" are wearing off the radio preset buttons. This is strictly a cosmetic thing, as everything works fine. The plastic is not chipped or damaged, just the finish is wearing off. I'm not up for an expensive replacement of the unit, I'd just like it to look nice. Does anyone know of a way to refinish these? Is there some sort of a kit sold for this purpose? This has to be a common, irritating problem that many of us have experienced. Any ideas, suggestions, info would be most appreciated.

Not an answer to your question, but when I push a button (and I do it a lot), I try to hit the edges and not touch the numbers, arrows, etc. This applies to buttons on steering wheel also.

Well, this was my wife's car and you know how ladies are with their manicures! I'm going to try and "train" her, so that the same thing doesn't happen to the new one we just got her.
