10mm Front wheel spacers won't fit?
I'm looking for 10mm front wheel spacers to put my new 20x8.5 et44 wheels flush with fender. I measured the gap and 10mm will put me at et 34 which would be perfect.
The problem I'm having is I don't see any made for the front of the 2012 e350 sedan. Every website I check says rear only. Any ideas on 10mm spacers for the front without vibration ?

Will those work? I saw another thread(different car) that type of spacer wouldn't fit on front hub and they have a picture of it. Everyone commented that those are for rears only and won't fit over long front hub

My bad... now I see what you were asking. I did notice that on H&R's site, they specifically state "rears only". One thing I know, is H&R knows their sh**. I would call them or send them a message and ask. I'm sure that will explain in detail.

I dont see why it cannot be used on the front. Its just a spacer.
You also will need longer lug bolts. I recommend RAD http://www.otisincla.com/ . they are the only company that makes cold forged lug bolts .

I'm not sure...maybe not enough hub left for wheel to sit on? Wish I knew what front hub looked like so I could understand the problem. According to HR website 10mm spacers only fit rear. It shows 15mm fitting front and i dont know what make that fit and not the 10mm.

That's kinda what I figured from forum search but I was hesitant because HR website shows that part # fitting other cars but does not show it for w212. Should be ok? I saw a couple other members on here with 10mm spacers up front but they weren't sure of the type that were used

The above statement lied to you ) Although I never paid attention on an E class hub , but i am using Carlsson spacers on CLS class where rear spacers fit on the front hub if needed and i didn't think that E class will be different

If using part # 20556659 (10mm spacer with cap end) do I need to remove current cap end? The length of that spacer seems kind of long. Here are some pictures I just took.
15 mm from back to other lip of dust cap. I'm guessing that's why HR spacers website says 15mm minimum spacer for front?

Not sure what's meant by first sentence, but as far as CLS and E are concerned, both cars have identical hubs (I know - I have both). For most/all (except Carlsson/Lorinser spacers which are normally used only with their own brand wheels) "usual" spacers like H&R's are different for front and rear due to front/rear hub design. OP posted pictures above. Hopefully you can figure out why "rear" spacers would not fit front.

Not sure I understand the concept. If my hub lip has 15mm of 66.56 outside diameter then the spacer#20556659 would need at least 15mm of 66.56 inside diameter to seat flush correct? Not sure how it can have that inside diameter and still have the wheel fit onto all the way back

No. The whole spacer is 66.56 (or very close to it) so that it fits over the cap just as a wheel with 66.56 bore would. You can clearly see it in the picture. This is the spacer that you need.

I bought the spacer mentioned, but my problem is that I can't fit a center cap running that spacer. Would it be a bad idea to take it to a shop and have them shave off the hub of the spacer to fit the center cap? It is a huge hub/lip on that spacer.

The only way around it (other than not using spacers, changing wheels or using only 5mm spacers) is to brake off the center caps' tabs and secure it to the wheel from the inside with a quality tape (that's what I've done).

It is 4x the size of the front and probably 3x the original hub the wheel sits on. That's why I was contemplating the idea. I might shave the center caps then. They are Vossen, so metal, not plastic.
What tape did you use? It was my alternative solution to get custom center caps, but not sure how they'll stick as the spacer doesn't leave a lot of room.
