2011 E550 Sport sedan, purchase & build/photo thread
I purchased this 2011 E550 Sedan couple weeks ago.
I live in Seattle, WA and picked it up from California, drove it home.
Car is mint with low milage. Love color combo
I already did few little updates and plan to do few more, nothing major... just to make it a little more interesting and enjoyable.
Here are few photos of what I have done so far. Enjoy
When I brought it home.
Updated the steering wheel with 2015 style.
Installed AMG pedals, metal door pins and silver seat control switches.

I purchased the steering wheel and the airbag seperately on EBay. I did install it my self but buttons, paddles and horn do not work. I purchased the 2014 steering column from W212 so hopefully it will resolve those issues.
I also purchased the pins on EBay. Installation was easy. Front ones unscrew, rear ones you have to pull off by pulling up on them with pliers.

Nice and Clean
Your E-550 truly represents MB well IMO. You have excellent taste and the mods are simple and not overt while expressing your style, which is nice and clean.

I got them on Ebay. Pull old ones off and pop these on. There are some out there that are caps that are glue it on top of the old ones but I chose these ones.

Thank you guys, I love the new steering wheels Every time I drive the car its a pleasure looking at it.
No updates on the steering wheel issue yet. I did purchase a steering column from 2014 W212 and it arrived few days ago. I been looking in to how to remove the steering column, might need to remove the wood trim and speedo cluster... ALSO contemplating if I should try to swap out the control module from the old steering wheel to the new one. Visually they do not look a like... the 2011 steering wheel internals design is very different then 2015 steering wheel internals.
Thinking what to do.

Thank you I did see that post yesterday and it looks like he replaced the control module from the steering wheel. I'm leaning towards trying that first before swapping out the steering column. I know that the internal design of my old steering wheel and airbag is completely different to the new one so I'm just wondering if the control module is even possible to swap.
I just don't want to rush into it...

After doing research and searching for long time "and still" not being 100% sure if this will work with out any error codes, I purchased and installed LED headlight turn signals. It works perfectly with no error codes
Purchased them on Ebay: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Amber-Error-...-/110965095026
Installing passenger side is easy. To install driver side you have to remove fender liner which ill try to do tomorrow.
