2012 E550 - What diameter piping is the stock exhaust?

2012 E550 - What diameter piping is the stock exhaust?

Im looking to order an xpipe to replace the resonator. what size do I need to order? Thanks!

For some reason i want to say 60mm and the E63 is 70mm?!

No its 2.25". Ive had exhaust work done and that's the size of the pipe that was used

So what did you end up doing? also do you have a video yet????? I'm so on the fence about what to do for the exhaust.

Removed both stock resonators and replaced with straight pipe. Also replaced the stock mufflers with magnaflows. Sounds great and like a true AMG. Has the exact bark and sound of and E63 with the resonators removed with a little more volume. And best of all, no drone. I will take some videos this week

I think J.M.G. Took a run at this question, and he said, "While the E550 uses 60mm pipes, the E63 has 70mm. Also, each rear muffler of the E550 has only one exhaust tailpipe, while the E63 has two of them. Other than that, there is no visible difference. However, if you look into the mid-resonator, the E63 has two straight pipes with an H-Pipe while the E550 has many, many holes in it." Hope this helps.

I know you will post a video but I can't wait to see it. Did you use the stock 550 tips or did you source some 63 tips??

Stock tips. Otherwise I would have to change the whole rear diffuser
