Need help finding LED bulbs for my "High Beams"
Hello everyone
I have 2011 E550 that did not come with Xenon headlights.
I just installed Xenon low beam kit and it looks and works perfectly, but my high beams and the other little bulb inside the high beam housing area regular halogen.
Does anyone know how to replace those 2 bulbs in the high beam housing with LED bulbs? and if its possible please let me know which bulbs I need.
Attached is a photo of my headlight.

Your best bet would be to replace those projectors with E55 Bixenons (which I believe will be a simple bolt on replacement without any modifications, but not sure) which will give you the looks and performance you desire. If you want only looks you can simply place any compatible LED bulbs (I think H7) in the existing high beam.

You are probably right that LED will not have a good light scatter.
**I guess my main concern is the little bulb on the bottom, inside the housing. It is yellow and does not look good when you have HID's on.
Im OK with keeping the high beam regular halogen I guess, unless its a easy swap with LED. I don't use high beams very often.

Suggest either keep high beam stock, or use whiter halogen bulb or go HID. LEDs are not a good option for high beams. City light can be swapped to LED though. You'll need a set of 194 wedge.

If you choose to go HID for high, we carry top shelf Morimoto HID conversion kits.

The whitest halogen bulb we've seen that can even sniff HID temp range are Philips Diamond Visions. However, to get that level of whiteness, they sacrificed some lumens. That's why they're only approved for off road use per DOT. If you live in the city though and really only use your high beams to flash people, they're fine.

Sorry, we don't deal in halogen bulbs, just LEDs and HIDs. I will say be careful buying those Philips bulbs online. There are a lot of counterfeit.

Parking lamp bulbs (?2825) can be switched to LEDs with the correct specifications .
I would be extremely cautious in replacing the high beam bulbs. Most of the whiter halogens achieve the HID look by coating the glass with blue dye which kills the lumens. But they are okay for purposes other than high/low beams. Yes, many of the eBay bulbs are fake (even those supposedly made in Germany and shipped from there) and the OEM manufacturers do not seem to care. Buy from reputed shops / retailers only (candlepower, retrofit source, etc).

Thank you for the info.
I will probably just not mess with the high beam bulb unless I can find a good quality replacement. The other little bulb on the bottom I would like to replace since its always ON when headlight are ON.

I got these for my high and low beams earlier this year. The color matches pretty well with the LED DRL, but they are not as bright as the factory Halogens.
I also got the 194 Wedge from AZN Optics for the "parking" lights (the small bulb in the high beam housing).

For the brightest (not whitest) H7 bulb, I use these...
