Need your advice about rims size

I'm going to change the rims of my car (E300 2014) to vossen vle-1 20" (still thinking about the model ) but mercedes dealer in my country said it will not fit on my car and the largest size I can have is 19"

But a lot of people in the internet also in this forum are using 20" rims without any issue!

So my question: is it possible to use 20" rims without doing any modification at my car?

If yes, I'm going to lower my car as much as I can using sport spring. Is there any effect when using 20" rims? (My car have comfort suspensions not airmatic)

Need your advice guys Please help me.

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

You can use the search on W212. There is allot of members including me ( car now sold ) that uses 20" wheels with low profile tires and are lowered.

Here are some photos of my old 2011 E350 Sport. It ran on 20" Vossen CVTs and H&R sport springs. Prefect combination in my opion.

im running 20's on my sedan, although im not lowered, my offsets F/R are too aggressive im sticking about 2mm out so i rub a lil on dips at high speed at the front. i dont mind that since i like how it looks.

you can do 20's without any problems with the correct offset. that being said, the correct offset depends on how you want your car to look, aggressive, give it low offset, weak, high offset.

and, technically, you cant go as low as you want with just sports springs. you can only go as low as what the springs would let you. if you want adjustable height, go with coilovers.

try to do some search and youll see a lot of topics about wheel offsets so you can have an idea on how you want your car to look like. goodluck mate!

Thank you for your reply and your car looks amazing .

I already searched and saw allot of cars using 20" wheels, but I wrote this thread to be 100% sure that there is no need to do any modification to use this size, and lowering will not affect my car.
