Bluetec MAP/Boost Sensor Location?
Hey folks,
Grabbed my first Bluetec (2013) last month and bought a chip for it a few weeks back--however, being new to diesels as a whole, installation has been a challenge.
While I was able to find the common rail power plug, I cannot find the MAP/boost sensor to save my life. I've popped the hood 3 different times to find it and RaceChip's support is pretty useless (they claim on a US Bluetec it should be near the passenger side air duct at the front of the engine compartment, not finding anything that remotely looks like the two bolts+round cover for the sensor looking down into the front of the engine), so I figured I'd swallow my pride and ask if anybody with one could give me a good clear shot and guidance.
After googling for easily two hours, I found tons of pictures of the sensor in Google, a couple dead-end threads on mbworld and this video, which looks very similar to my E350:
But apparently this is actually not the MAP sensor--it's apparently some other airflow sensor? Seems to be the only thing in my engine compartment that even remotely looks like the part photos online, though...
Thanks

Wouldn't a MAF be located in the air intake tract prior to the turbo (hot wire/vane) and a MAP be located after the turbo but prior to the throttle body? Say YES.
