these marketing people are genius!

I find myself drawn into these commercials and I get excited about the C coupe...the retail pricing of the C will make me look at the 2014 E350 - and this is a good thing right!?

So your getting rid of your E? You'll definitely need to go for another E. I think you may regret it otherwise. Good luck and let us know which way you end up going.

no Sir, I will not get rid of my E550 sedan - simply love that car. The motor and 4matic are addictive.

I would like to get my wife the E350 coupe...we originally drove a 2013 and she loved the open glass feel of the coupe. The trick is to get reasonable money for her 2009 TL SH-AWD.

OKAY - here is the question *** whay do you think the 2017 C class coupe wont be exciting enough? drive, power, options?

this is what i need to know.

THX

I don't know a lot about the C Class but I do have a co-worker that has a fairly new one I believe its 2015. I just feel like it's such a small car and some of the interior items look and feel cheap when compared to the E-Class interior. I think hers is a 4 cylinder so it's barely over 200 HP or so. I just can't deal and would rather get out and walk at that point LMAO. Jk but it's not for me, however if you lady isn't a speed demon and adjusting for women typically being smaller it might be a better option for her.

Best to have her test drive both and let here decide which she likes better.

With the release of the new E Sedan this year, I imagine the new E Coupe should not be far behind (maybe announced later this year for 2017 availability). I'm definitely waiting for the next version of the E Coupe to upgrade my E550C (assuming TT-V8 will still be available in E coupe form, or better yet - E63 coupe!).

Exactly. I think C-class or 3-series are like wanna be luxury cars. Like you wanted a luxury name, but can only afford the cheap one, and it's just not on the same level as the E-class. This is true of any car maker. Like a Civic is not on the same level as an Accord. It just feels overall cheaper. The E is classy, and the C screams rich daddy bought me this cheap benz for graduation.

I guess it could be worse, you could be looking at the A-class.

I'd never say a C sedan is similar to an E sedan, but the old C coupe (C204) and current E coupe (C207) are built on the same chasis (C class). There is very little difference (framelss windows, a little sheet metal) in these cars when equipped similarly. Both coupes have more in common with a W204 C-class than a W212 E.

I don't know if the new C and E coupes are going to share as much DNA as this generation.

Great deals will be in market on the E-Coupes but the 550 is a waste in Ontario. There are 3 months you can enjoy it and the rest of the time the ESC light is on; rear tires are too narrow and the chassis balance is not ideal. The resale value is abysmal on the 550; the 400 is a great compromise and 4MATIC.

The next gen E-Coupe will not be built on the C-Class (205) chassis.

I'd do a C-Coupe but I'd wait for the C43 or C63. It will be a nicer car with more options than the current C207.

a C is a C and MB is not trying to sell it as an E. much like an E is an E and not trying to pass it as an S. but i dont think you can say a C is a wannabe luxury car. its alright i reckon.

i have both the C and the E coupe. both feels great to drive in different levels.

whats with all the dissing mate? havin a bad day are we?
