How does the ECVC work? Does it have a few preset settings, or can you manually stop the valve with the push of the button? Apparently this has an optional wireless remote available, is that included as well?

This setup comes with a switch. The remote can be bought from Meisterschaft. Hold the switch for about 8 second to completely close the valve or accordingly for the desired sound.

I saw both your videos on the other topic. I'm sure the exhaust would be a little quieter with the stock exhaust untouched. How much of the tips did you have to cut. I saw you had to bend the hangers as well.

The exhaust is loud when the valve is open with resonator delete. I had to re-add the resonator to tone it down.
I bent the hanger on the exhaust to match the tailpipe evenly inside the tips. I could have just done this by using a smaller ruber boot on the hanger.

About 1inch cut-off tips.

I still find this hard to believe. I keep hearing that the AMG version will NOT fit the 550 NA or BT, yet I also keep hearing this exhaust will fit on "all" E classes. Which is it? I can see the version made specifically for AMG would not work with something made specifically for a 550, but I also hear that an exhaust made for a 350 will work on a 550. That also doesn't sound right to me.
I think these manufacturers would benefit (e.g. more business from people who like to research every aspect of a mod before pulling the trigger, rather than just cowboy it) by confirming fitments for their products with every model available for the cars they advertise for... so in the W212/C207 case, you're looking at fitting (or at least measuring) their products with all variations of AMG (NA/BiTurbo), 550 (NA/BT), 350, 400, sedan, wagon, coupe, convertible, diesel... etc. That would make the buying process easier for me, at least. In my experience with Meisterschaft (via MBW vendors), I haven't gotten clear answers on what fits what, model years included, etc. I will caveat this by saying I haven't tried contacting Meisterschaft directly, yet. But I'm also not pressed to get an exhaust right this second.

I noticed you said you were getting rid of it because the HOA was receiving a lot of complaints in regards to how loud it is.
Isnt the whole point of ponying up for a ECVC kit, to have the ability to make it quiet when you want and make it loud when you want? Is it really that loud in the quiet setting, or do you just roll through the neighborhood with the valves open?

I see that. But my question was, in other words, does the exhaust you bought for your M273 NA engine fit the M278 BiTurbo engine? That's the confusion, and what BlownS4 was also asking (I assume). I know the M278 is "based on" the M273, but what does that mean, exactly? What parts transfer over, what parts fit the same way, what parts don't, etc.? These are rhetorical questions; I don't expect anyone besides the designers in Germany to know the answer, but I still want to know.
